Field Food Safety
Effective and dynamic programs are applied to eliminate risks in agricultural production, from seed to harvest. These food safety programs are implemented and monitored for ongoing effectiveness, complemented by a vigorous supplier selection and verification system. Some of the most important elements of our food safety programs are:
· Every ranch is assessed from a food safety standpoint before planting the seed
· Every growing field is assessed for product safety before harvest
· Food safety programs for every ranch are implemented and audited by our food safety experts and 3rd Party Auditors
· Every field is identified by a specific lot number linking the origin of the product to the finished package
Distribution Food Safety
Our products are kept safe and secure during all phases of distribution, from the receiving of raw products to the distribution of finished products across the country.
· All products are kept under refrigeration to optimize quality and safety
· Every vehicle transporting our products is locked and sealed as a security measure
Processing Plant Food Safety
Our processing facilities manufacture products, applying the latest global standards of food safety and quality. We utilize the latest technologies and equipment to produce the safest product available in the marketplace today. Our associates are educated in effective implementation of our food safety programs which include:
· All facilities producing Ready Pac Bistro® Bowl Salads are USDA facilities with daily USDA oversight
· Products produced under the most advanced food safety systems, such as Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point)
· Every production line enjoys State-of-the-Art Equipment in washing and processing
· Quality Assurance team with dedicated experts continuously monitoring the effectiveness of our plant food safety through verifications and microbiological testing
· All finished products are identified by product expiration date and a designated lot number for complete traceability to its origin
